Australia needed Tim Cahill to saves them from blushes but another co-hosts Vietnam did well and stunned United Arab Emirates in the Asian Cup group B opening. Tim Cahill scored in stoppage time to earn a point for Australia. 1-1 draw is the final result and it wasn’t the result they were looking for.

Maybe home advantage really seems to favor co-hosts when Vietnam shock wins against UAE. Vietnam 2-0 UAE was the final score. The home spectators went wild after seeing their side score the opening goal in 63 minute by Huynh Thanh and Le Cong Vinh complete the day by scoring another goal in 73 minute. It was a good result for Vietnam and surely good news for other 3 co-hosts. I hope it will boost up the confident for Malaysia National Team on Tuesday. Malaysia boleh!
