Reds head to Asia


Manchester United will start their preparation for the new EPL season at Asia. Tomorrow, they will kick-off the tour against Urawa Red Diamonds at the Saitima Stadium in Tokyo. Sir Alex Ferguson has taken a 24-man squad to the Far East including the two new summer signings Owen Hargreaves and Nani. Alan Smith also has been handed a place in the squad as speculation over his career at Man Utd rumbles on. Gary Neville, Louis Saha, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ji-sung Park, Anderson, Gabriel Heinze, Dong Fangzhuo, Ben Foster and Kieran Richardson were not included in the squad due to injury or international commitments.

Travelling Squad:
Van der Sar, Kuszcak, Heaton; Evra, Ferdinand, Brown, Vidic, Silvestre, O’Shea, J.Evans, Bardsley, Simpson; Carrick, Scholes, Giggs (c), Ronaldo, Fletcher, Hargreaves, Nani, Eagles, Gibson, Martin; Rooney, Smith.

(Latest news: There’ll be no debuts for Owen Hargreaves or Nani in Japan. Both players are carrying slight knocks)

Friday 20 July, FC Seoul  vs Manchester United
Monday 23 July, Shenzhen Shangqingyin FC vs Manchester United
Friday 27 July, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical FC vs Manchester United




  1. aiya… how come MU cancel the plan for coming to Malaysia… otherwise i’ll be the 1st to grab the ticket haha….. sad case..

  2. Yeah, I was so hoping they will make it to Malaysia but now can watch Asian Cup at here also not that bad 🙂
